It’s Halloween weekend and if your plans are to watch some scary movies, we have list dedicated just for you.

AN IRISH EXORCISM

In her final year at school, Anthropology student Lorraine decides to film her final project – the subject of exorcism within the Catholic Church. Recording interviews with priests from the local diocese, she stumbles upon Fr. Byrne, an older priest who is currently helping a young mother whose daughter is apparently possessed by a demonic force. The curiosity of Lorraine, along with her camera operator, Cathal, leads them down a dark path of discovering the terrifying truth, and things go from strange to worse as all involved become entangled into a frightful journey to save a little girl’s life.

MATTHEW 18

Michelle Jamieson is too smart for faith. She has been raised in the tired traditions of her Baptist family and is ready to expand her independent thought and stand in her logical, free will. When the opportunity arises for her to separate from her Washington D.C. home and her bible-thumping parents, she takes a scholarship for her sought after medical program at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Michelle stays in a Minneapolis mansion, a family property dating back many generations. She begins to encounter strange and unexplainable occurrences. As she is forced to investigate, what she uncovers is a world of family secrets and unspeakable evils that God himself may not save her from.

FORECLOSURE

One rule of real estate that buyers and sellers ignore at their peril: ghosts don’t move out. FORECLOSURE is a ghost film about a man whose economic distress drives him to insane acts when he falls victim to ancient curses in a haunted house.  The film stars Michael Imperioli, best known for his work in mob sagas The Sopranos and Goodfellas and a stellar cast, including Wendell Pierce, Spencer List, Bill Raymond, Meital Dohan, David Constable and Matt Servito.

INFLICITON

Infliction” is the actual assembled footage taken from the cameras belonging to two brothers, who documented a murder spree in North Carolina in 2011. The footage reveals in disturbing detail their actions and motives. It details the effects of people’s actions or inactions and its long-term effects on other’s lives. “Infliction” presents in cold detail a hard look at the blurred line between society’s criminals and victims.
