NEW YORK CITY (April, 2012) – Since bursting into Hollywood with her blockbuster thriller, Body Heat, Kathleen Turner has managed a 30-year career both on-screen and on- stage from Crimes of Passion, to Romancing The Stone, to Broadway’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf” and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.” Now, 18 years after her last leading role in the film, Serial Mom, Kathleen Turner makes her on-screen comeback as a good Christian wife and mother in Anne Renton’s debut film, which premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. Following a limited theatrical release, The Perfect Family, will get its nationwide premiere with a June DVD release by Virgil Films & Entertainment.
The film features an all-star cast including: two-time Golden Globe® winner Kathleen Turner (Romancing The Stone, Prizzi’s Honor), Emily Deschanel (TV’s “Bones”), Jason Ritter (TV’s “Parenthood”), Elizabeth Peña (The Incredibles, Jacob’s Ladder), Michael McGrady (The Thin Red Line), Golden Globe® Winner Richard Chamberlain (TV’s “The Bourne Identity” and “Thorn Birds”) and Emmy® Award Winner Sharon Lawrence (TV’s “NYPD Blue”).
When nominated for ‘Catholic Woman of The Year’, Eileen and her family are placed under the microscope and put to the test by her parish, church members, and each other. While the competition heats up at church, Eileen realizes she must also find a way to keep her dysfunctional family away from their sinful ways.

Kathleen Turner stars in this timely family comedy as a meddling matriarch determined to rein her husband and two grown children into her image of what the “perfect family” should be. When her son and daughter choose to march to the beat of their own drum, the fur begins to fly.
