The film festival darling Home Free is now available on VOD.
Virgil Films & Entertainment is proud to announce that the deeply moving Canadian drama Home Free is now available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, Google Play and Vimeo on Demand.
Starring Michelle Nolden (Heartland, Saving Hope), Tara Spencer-Nairn (Ghosts, Corner Gas), Natalie Brown (The Strain, Nightmare Alley), Art Hindle (Black Christmas, Porky’s), and Jill Frappier (Hudson Rex, Sailor Moon), Home Free tells the emotional story of three estranged sisters who return to their childhood home to find their father dying. His final wish—to see his family healed before he passes—sets off a powerful journey of long-buried secrets, love, and reconciliation.
The film marks the directorial debut of veteran producer Avi Federgreen, who co-wrote the film alongside Reese Eveneshen (For The Sake of Vicious). Federgreen, known for producing over 70 films, describes Home Free as “an emotionally packed film that pushes boundaries in a unique and innovative way.”
The film has enjoyed an impressive festival run, screening at over 30 festivals worldwide—including the Heartland Film Festival, Gasparilla International Film Festival, and the Calgary International Film Festival—and taking home multiple awards for Best Narrative Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Actress.
